Duloe Parish Cemetery is managed by the Parish Council and provides burial resting space for those who have local links to Duloe. Located next to the beautiful Grade 1 Listed St.Cuby’s Church that is now closed for burials, the setting of the Parish Cemetery provides a peaceful place for quiet reflection, with views across the village and beyond.
At the back of the Cemetery you will see our Tree Hive. Built and installed by Simon Kellam of Just Bee Eco Hives in Camborne, it provides a home for a wild bee colony to live and help pollinate trees and flowers, which in turn will support other insects, birds, bats and mammals across our Parish. You can find out more about the Tree Hives and the importance of bees by clicking the Just Bee Eco Hive link above. Please do go and see the Tree Hive and watch the bees at work.
Open during daylight hours, we ask when visiting the Cemetery that you please respect other visitors and keep noise to a minimum.
The Cemetery can be accessed by walking through the Churchyard or via the entrance gate which is located off the B3254. The postcode for the Cemetery is PL14 4PW. The grid reference is: SX 234581. Parking is available, but spaces are limited.
Bus services 73 and 73a serve the village. Timetables and details can be found on Go Cornwall Bus website.
St. Cuby’s Church
Whilst visiting the Parish Cemetery take a moment to explore St.Cuby’s Church, which has an unusual plan for a Cornish church. The tower is not at the west end but attached to the south transept and it is built on a circular mound which was probably an Iron Age Fort. The Church is open during the day, and you can find out more about its fascinating history by visiting www.stcubyduloe.org.uk/welcome-to-st-cuby-in-duloe/history
The Churchyard is also the resting place of 3 Commonwealth War Graves. Details of which can be found on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
