Governing Documents
Duloe Parish Council is committed to operating in an open, transparent and accountable way and to maintaining high standards in the way it conducts its business.
The Council works within a framework of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures which set out how the Council operates, how decisions are made and recorded, and the standards expected of councillors and staff.
The documents available on this page form an important part of that framework. They include the Council’s Standing Orders, Code of Conduct and other policies and governance documents. Standing Orders provide the procedural rules for how the Council conducts its business, while other policies cover specific areas of the Council’s responsibilities and day-to-day administration.
Together, these documents help the Council to work consistently and effectively, while promoting openness, accountability and good governance.
The Council regularly reviews its policies and governance documents to ensure they remain appropriate and reflect current requirements and good practice. Where applicable, documents will show the date on which they were adopted or most recently reviewed.
The Council’s Financial Regulations provide the framework for the proper management and oversight of its financial activities. Financial Regulations, together with other financial information and reports, can be found in the Reports section of this website.
