We are delighted to say that the Recreation Ground Committee have been successful in obtaining a grant towards the purchasing of a defibrillator for the Recreation Ground. The grant from London Hearts covers 50% of the cost of the unit. If a defib is applied to the patient within the first 3-5 minutes, then the chances of survival increase from 6% to over 70%, therefore it is a vital piece of equipment for our Parish to have in our very well used Rec Ground.
The defib will be in place and working at the start of October.
