A burst sewer pipe in Looe is causing major disruption at present. The pipe at Bonemill, near the boat yard on West Looe was first reported to South West Water (SWW) on Tuesday, October 8. Currently tankers are being used to remove flow from the sewage pumping station while they work on repairing the broken pipe. Please be aware that there may be congestion in the area around the Millpool due to the number of tankers and work vehicles. Swimming at Looe beach or upstream in the river is not advised at this time.
